Privacy Policy

Your business data belongs to you. We build RamPOS Go with a local-first approach to protect your privacy.

Quick Navigation

๐Ÿ‘‹

1. Introduction

Welcome to RamPOS Go ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our merchants and their customers.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile and web application. Because RamPOS Go is designed as a local-first Point of Sale system, our data practices differ significantly from cloud-based services.

2. Data We Collect

Most data entered into RamPOS Go is stored exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. We collect minimal data:

  • 1
Account & Business Data: Business name, address, logo, and user credentials (stored locally on your device's SQLite database).
  • 2
Transactional Data: Sales, products, inventory, and customer information provided during a sale. This stays on your device.
  • 3
Device Permissions: We request permissions for Storage (to save PDF receipts/backups) and Camera (to upload product/user images).

3. How We Use Data

Because your data stays on your device, we do not process your business data in the cloud. The app uses your data strictly to:

๐Ÿ’ผ Operate the POS

Process orders, manage inventory, and calculate totals locally.

๐Ÿงพ Generate Receipts

Create PDFs and print receipts. Emails are sent directly via your device's email client.

๐Ÿ’พ Local Backups

Allow you to export your database to a JSON file for safekeeping.

๐Ÿ‘‘ Premium Features

Validate premium codes locally to unlock features like custom logos.

4. Data Storage & Security

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Local-First Architecture

RamPOS Go uses an on-device SQLite database. Your business data, sales history, and customer info are never automatically uploaded to external cloud servers. Your device is your server.

We implement standard security measures within the app. However, the security of your data heavily relies on you keeping your device secure (using screen locks, not sharing your admin PIN, and safely storing your exported backups).

๐ŸŒ

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your business data. Because the app functions offline-first, your data is inherently private.

Data only leaves your device in the following scenarios initiated by you:

  • Sending a receipt PDF to a customer via your device's native email client.
  • Exporting a database backup file to your device storage or sharing it manually.
  • Using the "Share" functionality to send a receipt via messaging apps (WhatsApp, SMS, etc.).
๐Ÿ”Œ

6. Third-Party Services

RamPOS Go operates independently and does not rely on third-party analytics or cloud databases. We only interact with native OS services when you trigger them:

Capacitor Share API Native File System Native Camera Native Email Client

7. Children's Privacy

RamPOS Go is a business tool intended for use by adults (18+) and authorized business personnel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a business owner and a minor uses the app, their data is governed by your device and business policies.

8. Your Rights & Data Control

Because your data is stored locally, you have absolute control over it at all times.

โœ…

Right to Access: All your data is visible directly within the app's Admin panel and Analytics tabs.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

Right to Deletion: You can delete specific records, or use the "Clear Inventory/Sales" feature in the Data Management tab. Uninstalling the app removes all data permanently.

๐Ÿ“ฆ

Right to Portability: You can export your entire database in JSON format at any time via the Backup feature.

๐Ÿ“

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
